On 20 and 21 May 2025, the Czech Agrifood Research Center (CARC) will host the prestigious meeting of the Genebank Managers Network, a platform that brings together representatives of European genebanks.
The programme will focus on the exchange of experiences, an open discussion on the current challenges facing genebanks across Europe and the strengthening of mutual cooperation. This expert forum will be followed by a working meeting of the New AEGIS project on 22 May 2025, which aims to develop a uniform framework for the certification of genebank operations in Europe.
The common goal of all these activities is to enhance the credibility, quality and long-term sustainability of European genebanks as key institutions safeguarding plant genetic resources for food and agriculture.
