Global seed banks act as the ultimate insurance policy for future agriculture. To strengthen this safety net, Prague hosted European experts collaborating on the international AEGIS Plus project. The focus of this meeting was to establish harmonised standards for measuring seed quality and optimizing long-term conservation. By testing innovative practices and sharing cross-border experiences, we are ensuring that these results benefit gene banks everywhere. The CARC and the Czech National Programme on PGRFA are thrilled to contribute to this essential international effort.
